EVENT INFORMATION

DATES & TIMES

May Day Bank Holiday Weekend – Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May 12:00 – 22:30

Bear in mind that last entry will be 18:00 and no later – we don’t want you to miss out.

GENERAL INFORMATION

When arriving and leaving the site, please do so as quietly and respectfully as humanly possible. It’s the May Day Bank Holiday Weekend so Westfield Shopping Centre will be jammed to the rafters with families enjoying a day out and we doubt they want to know who dropped your favourite DJ set or where the after party is.

Please dispose of any litter in the bins provided and use the portable toilets/urinals next to the station and on route to the site to your heart’s content. They’re there to help.

Please follow the event signage to the site and do not detour – otherwise you might end up in Westfield Shopping Centre where there will be no 50 tonne robotic spiders as far as we’re aware. The route we’ve mapped out is solely for your convenience and safety and it also happens to be the quickest route to the site – trust us, we know how important it is to get to a party.

SITE ADDRESS

London Way, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, E15 2EE. View on Google Maps.

Please see the Travel & Sleep page for more detailed information on how to get here and options for places to rest your weary head.

PAYMENTS ON SITE

We will be sending out information on payment methods soon.

MAPS & SET TIMES

Booklets containing maps, set times and other important information will be given out for free upon arrival so you’ll never get lost or miss a banging set again.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY

Arcadia London is being filmed, live streamed and photographs will be taken across the weekend so remember to smile while you’re smashing it out in the park.

ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Last year we have undertaken a number of measures to try and minimise the impact the festival has on the environment. This year we intend to build on that and, having learned our lessons, take it further. We invite you to join us on our journey and we hope to inspire you to help our planet when it needs it most. Stay tuned for more updates.

ACCESSIBILITY

Arcadia London promotes equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and has taken the necessary steps to meet their requirements to access our festival.

More information can be found on our Disabled Access Guide page, or you can download a large print version (PDF) here.

FACILITIES ON SITE

MEDICAL WELFARE

If at any point during the event you feel that you or anybody else needs medical assistance, please make your way to Welfare to seek help immediately. Our qualified medical team will be on hand to help, whether you or any of your friends feel unwell, or even if you just need to escape the crowd for a timeout. To locate the Welfare area, have a look at the event map, keep your eyes peeled for signage which will be up and about across the site, or ask any member of staff who will be more than happy to assist.

DRINKING WATER

Water taps will be provided around the site so that you can refill your bottle without having to queue at the bar. You can bring your own reusable water to the festival, although it cannot contain any liquid as you enter the festival.

Please stay hydrated!

LOCKERS

Lockers will be provided by the Big Green Locker Co. The dimensions of each locker are 250mm high x 300mm wide xx 400mm deep and are operated using built-in combination locks which you can set to your own personal code – one that’s easy to remember! – when you arrive to ensure maximum security. These lockers will be available throughout the duration of the event – however, they are very popular, so booking is always recommended.

Book your locker in advance via this will need to be the link to the ticketing website where lockers are listed.

PHONE CHARGING

Phone charging facilities will be available at the Lockers Area. Battery packs cost £15.

It’ll come as no surprise that phone thieves and pickpockets target large events. Please be super careful with your bags and phones and follow the advice below:

  • Do NOT put your phone in your back pocket.
  • Do NOT put your phone in your bag unless you know it is safe from pickpockets. Remember that thieves are highly skilled at opening zips and clasps.
  • Do NOT hand your phone to a stranger to take a photo of you and your friends.
  • People will be searched at random as they exit should we receive any reports of mobile phone theft and a corresponding description of a potential thief.
  • If your mobile phone does happen to be stolen, the only way we can do our best to help you is if you can give us a description of the thief and the location of the theft in as much detail as possible. Please report any theft to Welfare and they will do their best to help.

CIGARETTES

As it is against Olympic legacy to sell cigarettes or any other tobacco products in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, there are no cigarette kiosks on site. As there is NO RE-ENTRY please make sure you bring everything you need with you before entering the event.

LOST PROPERTY

If you find or lose anything, head straight down to the Info Point where all lost property will be taken to and logged in. After the event, if you realise you have misplaced something (let’s face it, we’ve all been there) then drop an email to lost@lwe.events. Lost property is stored for 30 days after the event so don’t hang about.

MOBILE PHONES

It’ll come as no surprise that phone thieves and pickpockets target large events. Please be super careful with your bags and phones and follow the advice below:

  • Do NOT put your phone in your back pocket.
  • Do NOT put your phone in your bag unless you know it is safe from pickpockets. Remember that thieves are highly skilled at opening zips and clasps.

CASH MACHINES

There will be plenty of cash machines on site and will be published on the event map.

TICKETING & ENTRY

ID & TICKET SCANNING

Your tickets will be checked and scanned on arrival. Printing your ticket out will definitely speed up entry, but it is not compulsory. If you want to save some trees, having your ticket on your phone is absolutely fine too.

The event is over 18s only. Challenge 25 will be in operation, so you know the score – if you’re lucky enough to look under 25, you’ll be asked to provide photo ID proving that you are of age. Please take it as a compliment – and remember to bring some photo ID with you.

The only accepted forms of ID are a valid and up to date passport, driving license or home office approved proof of age card or a foreign national ID card that clearly displays the PASS hologram. Birth certificates will not be accepted as they are not valid forms of photo ID.

When queuing, please do so as quietly and respectfully as humanly possible. We’ve made sure that there are enough lanes to make your entry as quick and painless as possible.

GUEST LIST

If your name’s not down, you’re not coming in! If you are lucky enough to be on the guest list, however, you should access the venue via the separate fast-track lane. Please follow event signage or ask a member of staff for directions.

If you’re with an artist touring party, you’ll need to enter through the Artist entrance so please contact the person with the advancing information about how to get there.
